Got new bass drum head.
I went to the guitar center to buy a pair o sticks. I saw some new evans heads that had just arrived. At first I asked if they had any remo powerstroke bass drum head but they didn't.They only had a pintsripe.
I looked at the evans heads and found an emad batter head (they also had the reso). When I saw the foam rings that come with the head, I thought that this would work better than struggling with pillows. I bought it for about 45 euros. When I got back to my town I went to my grandma's basement and put the head on the bass drum. It was amazing! I would pay not olny 45, but 145 euros for this head. The best bass drum sound I have ever listened.Better than any recording. I just cannot think how good it's gonna sound if I also buy the emad reso head. It's not only the sound that's amazing. The two foam rings that come with the head influence the feeling of the pedal and you have total control of it.You can do whatever you want.I prefer the thicker ring. If you havent tried it, do it now |

I have the emad batter and reso, sounds great. The bass really punchs through when I play hip-hop and funk.

I like the emad because I like slightly muffled boomy punch.
