I found a Rickenbacker 330 used for $600. I'm in love with it and my birthday is the 16th....should I treat myself to a new guitar or be patient and stuff?

I picked it up because it was a Rickenbacker that was only $600. I was suspicious you know? But then I played for a long time. I played it unplugged to get a feel for it and all (the neck is really small). Then I played it through some amps. I fell in love with it.

I never pictured myself playing a Ric...but I do use a Vox AC30, maybe I'm just obligated to like Rics?

Meh, I still have about $400 left over from graduation so hopefully if I can get another $200 and go get it. I asked the guy to keep any eye on it for me. They're closed on Sundays but I'm going to give them a call first thing Monday and maybe put it on layaway or something. I must have this guitar!

I was going to mention that if you buy the ric you would also have to get an AC30 as well.

lol I love my AC30...I mean you only have to listen to any of The Beatles' albums to see how well they'd complement each other.
