bur in my saddle

so i have a bur in the sadle of my A string. thats the olny string I'v ever broken and I'v olny broken it once (it was the stock set of strings, they lasted about 6 months). the bur doesnt stick out of the sadle either, it dips in, and its in a shape that looks like a imprint of the strings, if that makes sense. do you guys think i need to take this into the shop? i just put new strings on it and dont want to put down another $25 on a set of strings.

so what do you guys think?

25 for a set of strings? You playin a bass? The only strings I've seen for geetar that are 25 bucks(Cdn) are some Elixir polywebs.

Are you sure the string didn't just break because of its age? Six months is a fairly long time to have a set of strings on a guitar.
