Looking for pickups for an EUB

Alright guys....im planning out an electric upright. The only thing I dont really know what to do for is the pickups.

I will most likely be making my own bridge, so idk about piezos.

Any ideas?

Yea, I saw those....but would EMG sell their OEM products to a non-professional such as myself?

not too sure ive had a quick look thru the obvious companies and none of them have them, you could email the company in the second link and say you '''have a upright and want to install EMG 4SW's in it but cant get them.. blah blah could i get them thru you'''. Its worth a go, worst they can say is no.
you might be able to get them thru a company. I got my custom EMGs for my bass from www.machinehead.co.uk (UK not US) and they ordered them in for me.

the fingerboard on uprights has such a tight radius that the middle two strings would be waaay far away from the pup, and the outer two would be alot closer, so there would be major volume inconsistencies.

Head over to the Double Bass section on talkbass.com

They have an area dedicated to EUB's. That is where I got a lot of the information for the bastardised version I am building.
