Nintendo Wiins E3 with Super Smash Bros. Brawl

I already posted this in the next gen thread, but I figured it deserved a thread of it's own to spread the good news.

http://revolution.ign.com/articles/707/707504p1.html

SUPER SMASH BROS. BRAWL
Featuring:
Pit (Kid Icarus)
Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid)
Zero Suit Samus (Metroid)
Meta-Knight (Kirby)

That's right, Solid Snake in Smash Bros. As of now he's the only confirmed 3rd party character, but hopefully they should add more.

Not a MGS fan, but new Super Smash Bros is always good.

Just a bit of an exageration. MGS4 will be more groundbreaking than all the SSB games combined.

That said, I'm really looking forward to this.

PS3 will say Halo 3 sucks and Xbox 360 fans will say MGS4 sucks.

SSBB looks damn good.

I played Melee on the Gamecube, and it was reasonably fun. Not really big news though.

This is going to be so goddamn cool. Seriously naysayers, you really haven't given the Smash Bros franchise much of a chance, they're amazing games.

Also Zero Suit Samus! Hubba hubba hubba!

I pray the cardboard box is either Snake's shield or a useable item.

Imagine Kirby Snake with a mullet and bandana.

I believe this will be online as well, I've been led so far to believe that it will be.

*sigh* My edited in new title of Nintendo Wiins E3 didn't show up.

I havn't seen anything from MGS4 that makes me think it's in any way groundbreaking, other than the fact it has pretty graphics.

Roy >>> Marth.

Anyway, they're making a Fire Emblem game for Wii, so I imagine there will be some form of similar character present, if not Marth himself.

I'm curious to see how they are going to use the Rev controller. I'll probably end up using the "classic" controller.

According to IGN, the game has to be played with the "classic" controller, which I think is a smart move on their part, but perhaps the remote could be used in order to better navigate through the menus, or to shoot the end credits (i always loved doing that)

I'm a huge SSB fanatic, and Im blown away by this. I find it sorta weird that they're adding Snake to the game though, I mean, he's cool and all, but I just can't see that really fitting into the atmosphere of the game. But yea, Nintendo's pretty much won E3.

Thats good news. Puts me at ease a bit about the thought of having a crazy control scheme for SSB.

I crapped my pants when I saw Metaknight has joined the cast. I mean, EFFING METAKNIGHT! Not to mention an awesome level for him.

I'm hoping that "Castle Siege" looking level is a Fire Emblem level. If it is, that is EXACTLY how I would've pictured it.

I cannot wait for this.

I must be missing something, why is this such a big deal? Didn't we already know that a new SSB was comming out? They didn't even include any new gameplay elements besides being able to summon Nintendogs(who cares?), although the new online mode is great.

So why all the fuss?

Because it's Smash Bros, and Smash Bros is one of the most fun party games ever created. It never gets old. I bought SSBM the week it came out for the GC and I still play it regulaly. I even play the original if I have my 64 out.

I love Jigglypuff. I have and unbeatable strategy with her. Sit on the sidelines holding B. When someone comes within range release B. Guaranteed knock out.

i never really cared for the game, but only got "into it" because everyone else seemed addicted to it. I think if they made this game 3d like POWER STONE, i would be interested a bit more

Im still wondering why all the fuss? Good series and all, but not the best on offer by far.
The console itself still remains the only good part of Nintendo's offering for me this year, as per usual
