Pics of luthiery work/ modding projects

Ok, since this is a new section, and rightfully named 'luthiery and modding' thanks to wintermute, how about we show off some of our handiwork. Be it guitars or basses you've built or modded, or pedals you've made from the ground up (right now my tube-based wah is getting under way). How about showing off your works so everyone can see how good of work you do sooo then there'll be backing to what you say/ said you've done along these lines.

Post away

Well, since I can't resist any chance to show off, this is a bass that is almost done. Just need to put on the knobs, mount the control cavity door, and put on the strap locks...

Oh yeah, and there's a story. Someone wants me to build him a bass and everything's going fine with the design, then he says "oh, can you make it a headless?".

Edit, just switching to a better pic...

Edit, I guess I killed that pic from my server.....

^^Beautiful work

Can't understand why the guy opted for headless?

Also what was the shaping on the head before?

My standard headstock is like this (this is a 6-string in progress).

^^ I had a sneaky feeling it would be something along those lines.

Now to me that fits in idealy with the style of that particular bass.

Ha ha, yes Peg! And I think I have a new bass to post there if I can get some good pics today. I finished everything during the last couple hours, and it is a sweet thing

Awesome!!
What's your name on mimf?

I saw the picture of your bass and I was like.. "I know I've seen that bass before!" Or at least that style anyway. And you made the brass bridge for that too, right?

Anyone who is seriously interested in my basses should contact me through my website or email address. I don't think this is the right place to discuss prices and stuff like that. Does that make sense?

Oh yeah Peg, hopefully you found my thread with this bass on mimf. If not, you can derive my name from my email address...

to make SoM's bass look even better. here is a bass that i built a new body for. it was just a rough attempt so i could get a feel for what some of the process would be like. and since then i defretted the neck.

I would love to have a guitar built for me, in the way that basses are built.
Like, with 'exotic' woods and such.

Hmm. I have a neck which I've reshaped the headstock on, and I'm gonna finish it.

I'm gonna buy a sanded down body from ebay and finish it too. Good practise.

I have loads of electric stuff on the go. Pickguards and stuff.
