Can someone provide a guide to routing?
Ya, I'm fitting a new pickup, but need to route a new cavity. Could someone tell me how to do this and what tools etc I need
Help very much appreciated Will p.s. I'm actually doing this to a Telecaster guitar, but as I'm more of a bassist and the guitar forum doesnt havce one of these, is it ok to post this? |

The easiest way to do it, would be to buy a 1/4" plunge router with variable speed, and a template cutting bit. They have a ball bearing around the top of the bit, whish runs around a template you make/buy and gives you a perfect route.

![]() AG, I know you're from the UK. Do you know anywhere I can buy the templates? I'm not confident in making them |

No
I've made my own, it isn't terribly hard. |
