Yeah, Holiday is cool. My band covered it at our first show... I sang the 'Zieg Heil...' bit \m/

Don't get me wrong, I do like AI, but it's

a) not as good as the old stuff
and
b) attracted an element to the fanbase that I disapprove of. As I have said on numerous occasions before.

I just realised I lost a lot of posts when they deleted the old thread. I was close to 6000 before....

I don't know. I heard they were throwing out ideas. They're probably going to turn American Idiot into a movie first. The movie will suck hard, but I liked the album.

I wonder what direction they're going to go in for their next album. They obviously can't release another rock opera. They can't go back to singing about being bored in their room--that would sound fake considering their age and their success. I don't want as many slow type songs on their next album (Wake Me Up When September Ends was boring enough), but they can't lose all the growth and ideas they've gained from Nimrod, Warning, and American Idiot. I'll bet there will be some long "Jesus of Suburbia" style songs on their next album. But it probably won't be a concept album.

My guess is they'll either go VERY poppy, to the point it's simply annoying, as that's what the mojority of the current fans want. Or, they'll go into a mature version of the Nimrod era. Angry, agressive, but more mature, yet still humerous and quirky, if that makes sence. Mmm...
