Are you interested in selling it or playing it?

(I have no technical expertise at all, just curious.)

Those go for about $1500 new but if you're lucky and find a nice used one somewhere it might go for about $1200, but make sure to check if the shimrod isnt bent at all because that will take about $500 off the price.

Did you ever take lessons? Because at my very first lesson my teacher taught me all about shimrods, and he also told me to buy Chantone's Big Book 'O Sax Parts, it has helped me greatly

I learned through the school, and the only talk of sax parts was about the ligature, the keys, mouthpiece, stuff like that. Other than that they just teach me to play songs. I'm seriously lacking in technical knowledge, and anything regarding music theory. It's sad really.

If you learn about shimrods then you will eventually be able to improve your tone greatly. And I would also recommend finding out a bit about the cadmium in the back of it because once I fixed up mine it played like heaven.
