Ridiculously big/small bassists *giggles*

Now we all know that fender Jazz Basses aren't exactly tiny instruments, but on some people they just look ridiculous (however good a bassist they are).

What about that huge guy from Bowling for Soup? Isn't he the bassist? I don't think he is, but holy crap! That dude's huge.

Matt Rubano from Taking Back Sunday's really small...he's like 5'5" or something.

I heard Billy Sheehan and Les Claypool are tall, too.

I can understand MM, but him? Jenny was a Friend of Mine's bassline = auditory rape.

You obviously haven't heard jenny was a friend of mine? Or any of their stuff because then you would know he his actually really good.

I think he tries way too hard.

All I'm saying is that I wouldn't say he "pwns" at bass. Marcus Miller is someone who "pwns" at bass. I wouldn't say the guy from The Killers is an amazing bassist. I find him boring, but that's just me. I'm not really into The Killers anyway, but he's better than most mainstream bassists (not saying much).

i reckon that Mark Stoermer does pwn TS at bass. However, that's just me. In all fairness i don't give a sh¡t.

seriously jenny was a friend of mine.....like worst bass line ever. thats my least favorite song on that album, i love the ban,d but that bass player isnt all that good.

For what is basically a pop band, I thought his lines were good; bold, complex and generally influencing in the bass industry. Alot of my friends/people that have become friends started bass because of him. He is ****ing ugly though.

I woudln't say he pwns, or in the same league as Wooten or Claypool, but for a mainstream bassist he isn't that bad, certainly not auditory rape to me,

But like you said, each to his/her own
