Which is next?

So, Mxtabs went down, which tab-site do you think is next to follow? .....at the moment I'm having trouble accessing http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ but that could be because of busy servers or something....

Also, does it make any difference in which country the server, which has the tabs hosted, like is it only American tab-sites that are affected by the MPAA-actions?

I would of thought that their actions would be limited to servers in America, if that is the country they are based in. Then again, havnt RIAA taken actions against P2P users in the UK? I dont think the law really applys to things like this, they seem to be shutting things like this down not because they have broken the law, but because they want to make more money. Large record companys seem to have too much power now, South Park - 'I'm above the law!', from the record company owner.

However, the future doesnt look all that bleak, more and more artists are doing getting their music out there without a record deal. Hopefully, soon, the record company will be rendered useless.

Ultimate-Guitar should still be working as they claim to have a licence/pay royalties for their tabs. Also they're on a server based in Russia so the MPA can't really touch them.

I think that they may just being having problems with server overloads currently.

Essentially any tab site based on a US server which doesn't have a licence is likely to get taken down.

Good ole' commies. Gotta love them.

It's just like MP3Search. They claim they pay royalties and because they're based in Russia it's legal that they sell high quality (192 kpbs or higher) MP3s at 10 cents a song =)

GO COMMIES! FIGHT THE MACHINE!

UG is probably having problems because it is the only tab site that anybody knows of that is still up, so lots of people must be trying to access it.
