Brothers On A Hotel Bed

hi 2 questions today:

1. what kind of piano is used in this song?

2. Does anyone know where i can get the sheet music for it?

By the way in case you cant remember its by Death Cab For Cutie on their new album Plans.

1 - a few of the tracks were recorded using synth piano sounds/modules... its a pretty easy sound to recreate though if you have something which can do it.... (either using a piano or a synth).... the main thing is a lot of sustain (little decay), subtle reverb might help with this, the second is that its a very low bassy sound, and the third is that the attack is still quite strong, (the smooth sound is because it doesnt really decay)

2 - i dont think the transcriptions for "plans" have been done yet so if you cant find it from the big online stores, its probably not available.... on the otherhand it is very easy to transcribe (As a start... the main chord progression is: |Ab|Ab|Cm|Eb|Ab|Ab| - cant remember the rest i worked it out when the album was released and havent played it since... Its not too hard to work out, even if your not too good at transcribing start from these chords and just listen - use a piano to help

that is almost helpful.

thanks so much for giving me a head start on the tune, but has anyone actually written down the score?

if anyone has or has found someone who has, please enlighten me and don't keep it to yourself.

Ash
