Yeah I'm looking at buying one but have absolutely no idea on what to look for. I've spoken to cany-esque buskers and apparently go German over Chinese. I'd assume more keys would be favored also.....

More info from anyone would be muchly appreciated.

Musician's Friend sells them I believe. Not too expensive if I remember right... I don't know about quality though, but it's probably decent enough for a beginner.

I've mucked around on an old Hohner (sp?). There's lots of different kinds if you go button type, and so it's kind of hard to work out what note is what, since mine had no leaflet or anything.

chinesse accordions are bad , german accordions are better like a honher its good and it doesnt matter which one has more keys or less you should also look in other details there are little accordions that are extremely good accordions i suggest if someone wants to play accordion better try first a little on piano then change to accordion , accordion needs alot of concentration and cordination but after a while it's very cool
see ya
