Most inspirational band EVER?

who is the most inspirartional band ever? it surely as to be iggy and the stooges - no stooges means no punk music, no pixies, no nirvana, no white stripes, no hives, no nothing! cast your votes

I think that the new york dolls influenced every single punk band in the 70s but thats just my opinion. most influential band ever for me would have to be The Ramones (im not a huge fan of theirs) but when you think about how many bands say they are influenced by them (which is now the popular thing to do) you have to agree with some of them

The Beatles.

They did so many things that no one had ever done and really opened the door for all of the music of today.

I agree with darrell. The Beatles pretty much reached into almost every genre of music. They have at least one song that any one person thats into a certain genre.
