i want to get some more music, and get a bigger variety.

so if you would be so kind as to name some artists that i can look into.

just name the genre and the artist's name.

Eg. Alternative: Nickelback

It would be good to know what music you are already into, otherwise it's hard to suggest bands in the same direction. I will just suggest a variety to start with

Alternative: Dinosaur Jr, Arcade Fire
Stoner Rock: Fu Manchu, Nebula, Orange Goblin
Blues Rock: North Mississippi Allstars. Jon Spencers Blues Explosion
Metal: Mastodon, Corrosion of conformity

Just look around the forums, see what bands people are talking about, and check some of those out. A thread where people just throw out random band names seems kinda... not good.
