Help me on my post-rock journey

These are albums I love:
Mono - Walking Cloud And Deep Red Sky, Flag Fluttered And The Sun Shined
Mogwai - Happy Songs For Happy People and/or Young Team
Explosions In The Sky - The Rescue
Mum - Finally We Are No One (if you haven't already)
Sigur Ros - all of their albums
Explosions In The Sky - all of their albums

These are albums I like:
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
Do Make Say Think - & Yet & Yet (specifically the song Chinatown)
A Silver Mount Zion - Born Into Trouble As Sparks Fly Upwards
The Books - Lost and Safe

Am I missing out anything major? I wish I had more post-rock that I really loved, but I find so much of it awfully boring.

You could try a similiar genre, noise rock. Get some Black Dice.

Slint - Spiderland
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock (I'm not a big fan of this, but supposedly it's a post-rock "essential")

Yeah I've got those two. I don't consider Slint post-rock and I don't really like the Talk Talk album.

Young Team is the best post-rock album. I don't really know what you're missing, because I'm too poor to buy anything.

What's that Explosions in the Sky album you listed? I never heard of it.. :-/

If I were to name an album, I'd say Hex by Bark Psychosis. But you should check out the other Do Make Say Think albums and any M83... yet I vaguely recall you listening to/liking M83 before.

I'm pretty sure The Rescue is the Travels in Constants album.

I'd say Tortoise is the crucial gap you've got to fill here. They sort of define the sound for everybody else.

Tortoise is one gap, Slint is the other. I think Bark Psychosis is another small gap too, though.

edit: Talk Talk (Laughing Stock, more specifically) is probably more important than Tortoise though.

Efterklang - Tripper
Jaga Jazzist - A Livingroom Hush and/or What We Must
Unwed Sailor - The Faithful Anchor

If you like M83 and Mum, you will enjoy Efterklang. It is electronic post-rock/IDM (i think?), with a male and female vocalist. They are realllly nice. Try the songs "Foetus", "Collecting Shields", "Prey and Predator"

Jaga Jazzist is sort of jazzy post-rock featuring a tenor sax, trumpet, and bass clarinet among other instruments. What We Must is a little more.....progressive than A Livingroom Hush, but they are both really good. Checkout the songs "All I Know is Tonight" and "Olso Skyline"

Unwed Sailor is similar to Explosions in the Sky. The bassist was once in Pedro the Lion or something. I saw them in concert over the summer and they were amazing. Check out the song "In The Presence of Thrones" or "Ruby's Wishes"

You need Rodan - Rusty, Mono - One More Step And You Die and Xinisupreme - Murder License.
