John Frusciante

Dunno if this was the right place but what they hey.

I am a HUGE Chilis fan, i love Johns work with them. I wanna get at least 1 of his solo albums, so basically, which do people think is his better ones?

I'm not too big a fan of his stuff, but Shadows Collide With People is a fairly decent album.

shadows collide with people is great, but dont expect it to be ANYTHING like the red hot chili peppers. its a completely different direction, different sound, different attitude, different everything.

i love it though.

I like his solo stuff, almost as much as the Peppers themselves. I downloaded Curtains a while back and I'm really enjoying that.

Isn't it great?

I really enjoy that whole album (Shadows Collide With People) - you can't go far wrong there.

Yeah it's a cool album.

I've got one of his electronica albums with Josh Klinghoffer, thats cool for relaxing to.

not strictly true, the songs were written over a very long period, stretching back to before he even joined the chilis.

1) Both? It's really just 2 recordings mixed into a single album
2) Wickedly awesome? that's debatable

John's definately one of my favorite guitarists and a helluva songwriter, but I think he currently seems to be suffering from Ryan Adams Syndrome ie. quantity over quality.

Other than that, To Record Only Water for Ten Days is my favorite of his, followed by Shadows Collide With People
