Fortune's Envy Painted Eyes Wholly Night Worship Depraved If you have any songs different from these, let me know. There are still two more demo songs that haven't been released. I'm just about finished with me review for A Diamond for Disease. EDIT: New avatar and usertitle. Thought I might join in the festivities. ![]() EDIT 2: Okay everyone, I'm all finished with my review of ADFD. Now I'd like some help. Are the lyrics included in the booklet of the EP? If so, please pick two songs, take a four-line quote from each, and post it here for me. Pick something very memorable and symbolic. Something that really strikes you as great lyrics. I'd like to use some sidequotes on this one. Last edited by Shadows; 10-16-2005 at 01:43 PM. |

From "A Diamond for Disease"
Because along this path are fragile whispers guiding me with guilt And though they scream the faintest lies they lead me to the knowledge that your words were chosen wisely Disguised as all intent... From "The Promise Of Never" Though your disease is ever mine I gave you diamonds And in an act to seal the oath, I gave you roses I noticed that the lyrics to both songs are inter-connected, a lot of the phrases occur in both songs and seems like the theme of guilt from the last album is expounded upon here. Very interesting stuff. You'll see what I mean when you read the lyrics in the booklet. |

I find the vocals more understandable in this one, just easier to make out words too. I'll send yall those demos when I get back from school.

I know what you mean though. I can hear Jim referring to various phrases in each song, and I think he mentions a celebration of guilt at some point. |

Also you might not have heard of them because they are somewhat obscure at the moment. But I can predict they will become great in the years to come. |

Yes, REAL melodic death. None of this modern American-melodic-death-with-metalcore bullshit. Outstanding musicianship and incredibly memorable writing.

That they do. I think Jim could rival Petrucci. He's already years ahead of DT in songwriting anyway.

I was extremely shocked when I found out that they were only 2 people. I mean, their drummer is an absolute machine (look at pictures of him on their website), and their guitarist is absolutely amazing.

they use extra musicians live (additional guitar and bass). The singer/guitarist plays bass on the albums though.
