Oingo Boingo

This is a band I have not heard mentioned here, I am not sure for bad or good reason but I wanted to make a post about them.

I didn't even know who this band was until maybe 3 months ago, when my girlfriend and I were in the car and she stuck the cd and had me listen to their greatest hits album. I didn't care for it much at all upon first hearing it, but the songs were stuck in my head and the only cure was to listen to them once again. After hearing them again I was addicted and went and bought a few of their albums weeks later and am listening to them now actually.

What are your opinions on this band?

For those who don't know what they might sound like, it's sort of new wave, very odd, rock music? I don't know how I could describe it, but take it for what you can.

I should really check them out. Because Danny Elfman wrote some good movie scores, so his band probably is decent.

I absolutely didn't know that Danny Elfman was in a band, even though I have heard of Oingo Boingo before. Now that I do, I don't think it will be long til I've ordered at least one album of theirs from Amazon.

I've been meaning to check these guys out for a really long time.

I've only got one song, "Stay", I like it. Sounds kinda like Devo, or the really poppy Talking Heads stuff.

Do check them out, you'll love em!! "Stay" is not really a typical song of theirs. One of their best CD's is "Dead Man's Party".

You'll also know Danny Elfman from The Simpsons theme and Oingo Boingo did the them to the 80's classic, "Weird Science".

I'll have to get into this band. What are some movies Danny Elfman did the score to? I remember him doing one, I just don't recall the movie
