Deathcore!

I have just recently discovered this supposed genre, and I am in love with it. Please discuss things to do with it here, and suggest bands.

Current bands are:
Stick To Your Guns
Deadwater Drowning
Despised Icon
Animosity

I want to hear more. So far I have not heard enough to warrant that is an actual genre, and it seems just to be a branch of metalcore. It's just a branch off metalcore it seems, but has very distinct influences that most metalcore lacks. Even if you don't think it is a genre(I don't yet), you should see the particular sound I'm looking for.

It isn't a genre, but I know the sound you're getting at. Check out All Shall Perish the whole of Hate. Malice. Revenge. is fantastic.

They are ok, way too hardcore kids over here like to play Doctor Hardass.

Check out Liu Kang, they have a pretty metallic sound but they totally know whats up, pretty much the only uk band Ive heard that speaks out against the Ganster bull**** going on in UK hardcore, especially round London.

Try Glass Casket. I wouldn't classify them deathcore (I wouldn't classify any band as deathcore), but they sound a lot like the bands that you listed. http://myspace.com/glasscasket They're pretty tight.

Wouldn't this supposed "deathcore" genre be similar to grind or am I pulling the wrong strings.
