Walking Bassline + Chords [Jazz]

I'm looking for a few jazz songs that have a guitar that plays chords + a walking bassline at the same time. Either post the tab in here or link me up, thanks.

I know Joy Spring, all 6 minutes of it. It's not really walking bass lines, he just walks to transition two chordal phrases.

Check out Stanley Jordan, he does a lot of solo work and uses that a lot.

Check out Wes Montgomery...most of his work is like that...he has a great version of Airegin that might just be exactly what you are looking for!

^"Blues for Basie"... it's an original composition; I believe that it can be found on one of his Viruoso albums.

Any of the "Virtuoso" albums contests to be of the greatest jazz guitar albums of all time.

Um, no, sorry... not at all. Wes' main style involved a three-tierd system:

Melodic line
Octaves
Block chords

In fact, I've been studying Wes, and can't think of one song that involves him playing a walking bass line. And his take on Airegin most definitely involves no walking bass line.

Unless you're thinking that the thread starter is asking for an actual bass line, as opposed to a walking bass line for guitar.

a bass player playing chords and walking bass at the same time. You could play this on guitar though.

Why don't you start a similar thread there and leave this one here just in case?

C. Osullivan: I thought the Wes Montgomery recommendation was rather odd myself, but I don't know all of Montgomery's work. What's your take on those Verve sides?

That's definitely a guitarist playing bass. Notice his complete lack of rhythm.
