Special Noise are a really fun two-peice, math-rock band from Halifax, Nova Scotia. They play dancable tunes that sound reminiscent of such groups as the Rapture, Gang Of Four and many similar artists. Check out their "noise" page.

They're coming out with an EP soon. I'm sure you can order it from their record label distribution (there's a link on the site)

Holy **** the singer reminds me of Tim Kasher. Along with some Paul Banks for good measure. And Stephen Malkmus. Nice.

I've seen them twice in the past month or so, my band played with them once. (missed the third, sadly) But anyway, they are soo fun live.

you can get it from the internet by searching our label: out of touch at http://www.sonicunyon.com

or if you live in halifax you can get it downtown at sam's and cd plus (i think)
