2004 musicman sterling

Well this is my first review and so here it goes...

This bass is simply amazing, with its 3 band eq, active electronics and 3 way coil select switch this bass can make just about every tone. The sterling's bodys are smaller then stingrays and also unlike the stingrays have slimmer necks and the 3 way switch. Now the 3 ways switch is interesting with it one way you have a more boomy bassy sound and its good for the e and a strings, with it in the middle you have your standard string way tone and with it the other way you have a metallic lower sound which is very good for primus like slapping and popping and strumming ect. The neck is smooth and the tone is sweet.

rating/ 5 out of 5
it deserves it.

sorry for the lack of a better picture. also mine is in desert orange but i cant seem to find one of that color anywhere on the net.

$1200 is a very nice price. Musicman has been played by many great artists, including Louis Johnson of course, and is know for it's slap bass sound. I haven't seen any new musicman basses under 1k. I know that any guitar center will have a row of these hanging somewhere.

The older models have string mutes on the bridge.

definately worth it.
i really like those 3 way switches. my sr5 has it, and it adds so much more tonal diversity.
