The place beyond the pines - I really liked that film when I saw it.

The last film that I watched, aside from the poorly executed 'Basic', was Headhunters - a Norwegian comedy action thriller. It was great, funny too.

Apparently there's going to be a Hollywood version of it coming out. Pah.

Yesterday was certainly an interesting day. Me and my friend set off for the 5pm showing at half four with the intention to go into town first. The traffic was so bad that by the time we got there it was already 5pm but since the films usually start about half an hour after the time, we legged it to the other side of town (I was literally an inch away from being run over), stopped in a few shops and ran all the way back, just in time for the start of the film.
The film itself? Yeah it was pretty good and I can understand why it's so popular in America. The only thing that took me out of it was the cheap looking CGI (the helicopters, the shots of the town from above, the bullet holes, the blood). I'd recommend it overall. Though it did feel like it could have been much longer and it seemed like certain elements had been under-developed.
