What are people's problems with Birdman's ending? It works with the fantasy nature of other parts of the movie and I like the ambiguity

Some people don't like ambiguity I suppose.

Boyhood definitely relied on it being an experience, and like a lot of movies it relies on you being able to make some connections from the characters' experiences with your own life. I am only a few years ahead of Mason and so a lot of it struck a chord with me in particular.

Also it's not fair to ask someone to propose a new ending to Birdman. We aren't Hollywood writers for a reason. You don't need to have an alternate ending in mind to just know that there's something wrong with the one that's there.
Why do you dislike it? Not a counter, just honestly curious on your perspective.

I can imagine not like Grand Budapest as much as I did, or compared to some of his other movies

I just can't stand his style. The flatness takes away any drama and it just isn't funny enough to make it worth it. "Snoozefest" couldn't be more accurate in my opinion.

And yep I'm aware I'm crazy. I didn't even like The Life Aquatic, like at all.

yeah i don't know how to describe why i didn't like it other than it simply was boring and uninteresting. i did not care about the story or characters. the cinematography was nice at times but sometimes too much and not good enough to make the movie worthwhile in general.

which is too bad because ralph fiennes is one of my favorites

I'm a fan of Wes Anderson to an extent, my favorites probably being Royal Tenebaums, Darjeeling Limited, and Grand Budapest. But I agree with Life Aquatic. I never understood all the praise.
