Elysium is about the future earth having used all it's resources and being destitute shit-hole for lower class citizens. the rich elite build a gloried space-base that rotates to imitate gravity. they also have this personal-doctor-contraption that can heal cancer and over-exposure to radiation, etc.

the earth tries to send ships to Elysium for medical care, but they blow most of them up.

the movie is about Matt Damon having a shit job, gets exposed to too much radiation, then has to get a special terminator-like exoskeleton permanently fused with his body. he has to infiltrate the space station so he doesn't die.

good stuff that movie.

elysium was a decent flick. some dumb scenes, sure, but way more enjoyable than This is the End.

I just saw the Conjuring. Was pretty good for a horror flick.

there was a spate of them a few years ago with the likes of skyline and battle of los angeles, enjoyed both of those. quite liked the dark ending to skyline too. took our lass to see cowboys v aliens and she's still not forgiven me, i thought it was great!

i've seen the first two

couldn't really make through the whole cowboys vs aliens. that plot was pretty terrible. i can't imagine having paid for that

you should be excited about Ender's Game then. Comes out next month.

I've been waiting for that movie for like 10+ years

i was jk. movie is a goddamn masterpiece. especially in 3d, which is something i never thought i'd say. what's even more impressive is that the 3d was done in post. story is a little slow and some of the dialogue is super cheesy but the movie looks so fucking good it doesn't even matter tbh

They don't require a high level of concentration really, it's just double entendre laden slapstick. But amusing nontheless.
