there was some slightly funny skits and I respect the one guy that was in almost every skit (hypnotist, the fat girl, etc) I just couldn't laugh at most of it

That's Matt Lucas, he and David Walliams (the tall fella) are pretty much considered comic geniuses over here. It's a bit "different" and may just be a little bit too uniqely english i guess.

some of the characters are funny but not all the skits they are used in are funny

like, i doubt you'd laugh at everything

the tall fella being the gay dude at the PM's office

that's not funny

no? you see i think that's actually quite funny. that's odd.

but you're right that it's not always completely hilarious and some stuff works better than others. some of it is just designed to shock i think.

every scene is based on him being "ambiguously gay" but it's not ambiguous at all

and him getting into gay positions and holding them as if he's getting off on it and only he and the audience are aware...

i understand what they are getting at. i guess my tastes are just too refined

/puts on monocle

sebastian is great, it is not about being ambiguously gay, it is about having to bear with a clearly gay guy and having to be politically correct. lol

i think you're wrong

at no point during these scenes is the PM addressing or even acknowledging the fact that he likes other dudes

either way, it's not at all funny

not a fan of little britain

best UK comedies:

The Thick of It
Alan Partridge
Green Wing
Garth Marenghi
Peep Show
Fawlty Towers

Then the panel shows like Mock the Week and QI are entertaining too

Seriously? Take off that monocle and just bask in the gayness of Sebastian, we know he's a chutney ferret but the pm doesn't. How can it not be funny!

Sanders knows it. Little Britain was good for maybe half a series.

Green Wing doesn't float my boat out of that list but the others are aces.

Also:
15 Storeys High
The Armando Ianucci Show
The Office
Extras
Spaced
Blackadder
Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe
Outnumbered (kind of cutesy but good if you're not a misanthrope)
Big Train
Nighty Night
Black Books

We're the best. Watch 15 Storeys High if nothing else from that list.

i saw prisoners and it was kinda interesting but it also pissed me off right from the start

like why didn't you fuckers make it five families so you could get some asians, arabs, and indians in there to widen the band of audience sympathy some more
