The Capitals look to be in good shape to get better with free agency. They only have 4 players signed right now, and the salary comes to about $7mil. I'm not a hockey fan but I do like to see the Caps do well.

I like the Caps too, they were going through the same exact thing the Rangers were going through, selling before the lockout.

Well Crosby to be a Penguin. DAMMIT!!!!! That means Calgary will only play him once every three years. Simon could be gone by then.

Awesome another Ranger fan.

I've been thinking, having the 3 balls in the lottery is actualy a less chance or a, because you also have a better chance of being picked in the early stages of the lottery. And also, Hasen't Pittsburg won the last 2 or 3 lotterys. Hmmm.

They picked it 1 to 30, then told the reverse of the results after it was conducted. And this is the first or one of the first draft lotteries in the NHL.

Oh I get it

And I read the TSN article differently, they won the last one for Ovechkin, which he didn't sign, and then the one before, I think

But it really sucks to be Florida. They didn't even make the playoffs, and they got a really bad pick

Lemieux was training with Crosby over the summer, sorta sounds fishy to me. And on a side note most players agree Bettman sucks and has to go, did you hear what Chelios said, Find the article cause I'm to damn lazy to

Dallas is picking one slot after the Avalanche.

In the last 3 years Pittsburgh has had a #1 (Marc-Andre Fleury), #2 (Evgeni Malkin), and now another #1

Well they have to spend AT LEAST 21.5 million. The most Crosby can make is 850,000. Lemieux doesn't make much either. He's an unrestricted free agent and since he owns the team, will sign himself for whatever amount they need him for, and not more.

Rookie salary cap

And I pray the GMs of 2-9 are morons, though with Burke in Anahiem they'll get a great pick. Why, oh why did the Canucks ever let him go?

that is because the lottory is primarily based on preformance and Pittsburgh has sucked latly.

Man, being from Montreal, and the fact that Crosby wanted to play for Montreal, just made the lottery more exciting.

Mario and Crosby...could be potentially deadly if Mario stays healthy and Crosby lives up to his name

Devils got 23rd, i think they got that last year too

Jagr is staying in NY. Washington is paying half his salary.

And can someone plaease explain the big deal with Lemieux, he's always injured, and he's always whining about something. And besides now he's old so he's not as effective.

Mario still pwns most everyone when healthy. Having had a year to rest up, he should be ok. Hopefully Malkin turns out too.
