Hmm... Try to lay off the screaming.
I used to be in a screamer band, but I quit becuase my throat hurt all of the time (and the band totally broke up). I think I recall feeling the same sort of thing. Don't strain your vocal chords for a while, and it should go away.
If it doesn't in 2-3 weeks of you being calm with it, you might want to see a doctor.

That's pretty much a worst-case scenario. I doubt it will last that long. I just didnt' know how severe it was.
No problem. I hate when my throat hurts. It's been a pleasure to help.

Does it hurt only when you swallow? If so it might be the back of your throat being irritated due to all the air blasting it. Make eeeee's at regular pitch and push, sliding up and down to your highest and lowest. Does anything hurt then or any other time when you sing? If so...you need to stop what youre doing, reevaluate it and learn better technique and probably push less. Turn the mic up if you need it. Some people dont like to think they need to up the mic so they have to push less...but you only get one set of strings with this acoustic instrument....keyword...acoustic. You need to amp your sound, optimally. If you play your guitar reallyhard the strings break quicker. You dont need to play it as hard if you have the output mixed well with the other instruments. Capiche? (or however its spelled)

If youre using incorrect technique it will be harder to get stronger because you'll keep saying stuff like what youre saying now. Read the hotline...learn some techniques and isolation, and perhaps consider lessons if youre serious about singing any style of music.

Your post doesnt have enough information really even for a doctor to diagnose what it could be....much less us laymen. Give some more details.

That's the hand of god telling you not to scream. There are more creative ways of showing emotion in your music. lol

Or to make him learn something or antother, or affect a particular part of his cords, so that later he experiences the change and becoming of a better singer.

God doesnt need hands

yea there are other ways...but if you cant write well then youre back at square one.
