Pittsburgh used to have a rock band called Reverend Picklefist and another called Boombox, but they both split up.

I went to go see a local band by the name of The Xenith Sound on Saturday and they were fantastic. Kind of a mix between Nine Inch Nails and The Mars Volta (probably a terrible description). http://www.the-xenith-sound.com/

I'm in a band called Beholder Of Decadence, we will probably change our name though.
I can't really compare us to other bands... But we have about 6 songs right now.

...Really?
It was probably my drummer who put us on there...

Yeah.. I just checked, and he put it on there... Douche bag.
Anyway, we play metal, with a little bit of progressive metal in there also. Every song we make seems to get more and more techncal and heavy. I can put up a sample song if you want. Just let me know.

Ok, I'm uploading them right now, one is a softer song, and the other is a version of one our newer songs, but we dropped the singer.
We mess up alot in both of them, we've yet to make a great CD of all our songs. We're working on it though.

Creed Of Adoration-
http://s15.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=234CTJYE4NT0Q0MHGRSAZMQTKX

The first verse is sort of hard to hear because I play the guitar a little too soft. I think this is a pretty awesome song...

Clash Of Light And Shadow-

The song with our old singer, try to ignore the singer
I love the end, even though the other guitarist fucks up.

Please comment these songs.

I myself am in a Local band we are called Kill Devil Hill, named for the hill from which the Wright Brothers flew their first plane. We are sort of a melodic death metal influenced metalcore. I might as well post the link to our page along with some of my favorite local bands from around my area. Check out what they sound like and if you like them then cool.

my band:

Conducting From The Grave
