Though I`d just share some tips about cleaning a high polish-instrument, like my own Warwick Vampyre:
1. Use Dunlop Formula 65, or Martin Guitar Polish. These won`t leave any stains of grease. 2. My own mixture: 1 part of this and 15-20 parts of water. NOTE: don`t let any water get to the fingerboard, or near any wooden surface. This mixture will take away dirt fairly easy and won`t leave stains of grease. ....and again: for high polish-surface only! |

i just rub the polish on then lightly buff the body and hey presto i can see my face i do that after every play and usually clean the strings as well makes my bass ultra shiny
I use dunlop 65 or gibson guitar polish and gibson string and use that it does the job well and is much cheaper than cleaning cloths. I only wash my hands to make my strings last longer because changing strings is a pain in the *** when your bridge is held together by tension. |

I just use a laquer polishing cloth, like used on trumpets and saxes. It works great, and will never run out.
