The Demo Dungeon

This thread will be dedicated to promoting unknown (Metal) bands/under-rated bands, and uploading out-of-print CD's/Tapes, EP's, Bootlegs, 7", splits, demos and related material. With all the MXers who have been making under-rated band threads lately, this should be pretty cool since lots of people have bands they want to promote.

For now, requesting is okay, unless it gets out of hand. Many of your requests will probably go unanswered. Do not spam the thread with re-requests, or large amounts requests.

This is basically for promoting bands, and collecting rare material. Please, if you download anything, leave some comments and participate in discussion, otherwise this thread with be very unsuccessful, and very boring.

To sum it up, talking about any of the types of things mentioned above, is highly encouraged, even if you can't manage an upload.

Do not post popular bands that are well known. This is for under-rated bands, and limited collector type items that are out of print or hard to find in stores.

Format for uploads:
Band name
Members
Discography
Background Information
Upload information
Upload

This format is not required, but suggested. It gives a good description, and makes posting these managable/readable.

I have also decided that it would be a good idea to collect a list of bands with some/all of their material avaliable for free download on their website. Post the links to these, and I'll edit them into this post.

List of bands with material for download on their official site:

Band: Satanicum Teneabre

Members: Meyhna'ch - In Mütiilation, Hell Militia, Malicious Secrets, Belathuzur. I found out about them through Mütiilation.

Discography: He only recorded three demos.

Til Helvete - 1994
Voices of the Dark Call Me to Suffer - 1994
Seul - 1995

Background: A side project of Meyhna'ch, of Mütiilation. The genre is black metal/dark ambience. Production-wise, like most black metal, is not for the casual listener. Many will not like it. If you like black metal, this band is excellent. As you probably guessed from the connection to Mütiilation, this band is related to the LLN.

Upload Information: This is the demo "Til Helvete" released in 1994. 6 songs, total playing time 22:33.

Upload: Satanicum Tenebrae - Til Helvete

-------------------------------

Band: Gestapo 666

Members: Kommander Noktu, (Former) Meyhna'ch - Once again, I found out about them through Mütiilation.

Discography:

Gestapo of Satan - Demo 2000
Satanic Gestapo - EP 2003
Satanic Warmaster / Gestapo 666 - Split 2004
Black Gestapo Metal - Full Length 2005

Background: I hardly know anything about this band. Meyhna'ch did vocals on some of the earlier albums, though I'm not sure which ones. Very bad production.

Upload Information: Satanic Gestapo - EP 2003. This is a vinyl EP limited to 300 copies. It was first released on tape, 2002. The EP is two songs, 7:28 total playing time.

Tracklist:
1. The Power of the Forgotten Realm
2. Deshumanization (For Master Satan)

Band: Mütiilation & Deathspell Omega

Members:
Deathspell Omega - Hasjarl does guitars and Mikko Aspa does vocals.

Discography:

Mütiilation -
Rites Through The Twilight of Hell

Great work man! Let's get this thing started.

I may do one tonight on Belketre, if I've got the time.

Good thread, and very well organised, too. Though I don't see myself enjoying an awful lot of what'll probably be posted in here (I can't be bothered with LLN-style bands for the most part), I'll probably be downloading most of it just in case.

The thing is, with things like hand-numbered, limited-to-300-copies 7" vinyl releases, often it's the owning of the actual item, and not the music on it, that's the more enjoyable part.

That's true, I'd like to own these other than mp3's. Some of the demos I want to post aren't just LLN style stuff, also some thrash demos, that kind of thing. Alot of these actually are very good music too, I think. The Deathspell Omega/Mütiilation Split is probably my favorite on there.

I was just about to upload another demo, when I realized that it is avaliable for download off of the official site. This also gave me the idea that it would be cool to post links of bands that have some of their stuff posted on their official website. If you know one, post it, and I'll make a big list of them in the first post.

Band: Ballistic

Members: (Current, I am not sure if this was the lineup on their demo.)
Tony Taylor - Vocals
Tom Gattis - Guitars, Vocals
Peter Petov - Guitars
Tim O'Connor - Bass
Rikard Stjernquist - Drums

Discography:
Gone Ballistic - Demo 2003
Ballistic - Full Length 2003

Background:
US Thrash band from Washington DC. Still Active, formed in 2000.

Upload Info:
This is the [i]Gone Ballistic (2003) demo, avaliable on their site. I'll post direct links so nobody has to find it on their poorly made site.

Upload:

Sure go ahead and put your band on here, as long as its actually a demo/album and not a random song or two.

Ok, I just wanted to check.
We're doing some recording this weekend probably, so I'll maybe put some up because I want to whore my band and get opinions

Haha, alright, just arrange it into a demo cd before you upload it, so that its not just random whoring.

You don't have to upload anything, just post some feedback on some of the demos or something. The point of this isn't just to upload stuff, its also to discuss it.

Thanks for the band, they sound pretty good, but they don't really fit the thread criteria. None of their full albums or demos are avaliable on their site. If bands like that could be posted, almost every official band website would be on here. Most bands give out a few sample songs.
