Avenged Sevenfold

Right. Before anyone says this, i know there has been several threads on Avenged Sevenfold already, and that is the main point of this thread. If they ever release a new video, or a new song, or somebody is looking for this new video/song, just come and ask in here. As the release of the new album is quickly approaching, i also felt that we needed somewhere for the fans to talk about it, bash it or big it up.

But please, can talk of WTF and STST and which ones better etc, please be kept to a bare minimum. That topic, and the following other topics have been done to death :

Vocals. HE CANNOT SCREAM ANYMORE YOU IDIOTS! SO DONT SAY 'OmgZ! WhyS CaNT HE ScEAm AnyMOre TheRE NoT HxCX No MOre!1!!'

Lyrics. Yes Metalcore kids, we know that you think they suck because they are relativly Power Metal influenced. In my humble opinion, i prefer 'Trashed and scattered again, I'm feelin' so low, you waste your breath while ****in' with me, my blood is so cold' to 'My presence won't be ignored, no not today, don't walk in my direction, turn the other way.' Also, 'JUST KEEP AWAY FROM ME!!!!' isnt exactly the best ever is it?

Anyway, so talk away. This will now be the main discussion area of our beloved Avenged Sevenfold in R+M.

When is their new album dropping exactly? I've heard June but not a specific date. I loved Waking the Fallen, but wasn't a big fan of Sounding the Seventh Trumpet.

Trashed and Scattered is a solid track.... The beast and the Harlot is not something I'm into. That being said, I'll probably still get the album

I prefer The Beast And the Harlot myself and like the new direction that they are taking. My hopes are high for their next album.

I was very anxious to hear their new sound, after hearing so much about it...but I didn't know what to expect really. I like the new sound a lot, and M.Shadow's voice sounds awesome. I never knew he had so many different voices other than the melodic sing and the scream which he can longer do. In some parts he even sounds like Axl Rose, and some parts actually remind me of GNR in a strange sort of way. I cannot wait until this album comes out.

I own Waking the Fallen, and I guess I pretty much like them. But I stopped liking them a little bit when Syn bashed Alexi Laiho on the A7x board. When someone asked him what he thought of Children of Bodom and Alexi's guitar skills, he replied with "I smell fag breath." That earned him a demerit in my book.

I don't really like anything off the new album. I'm sure I'll end up hearing more of it, but what I've heard so far isn't something I'd really listen to.

yep, i read because of the vocal technique he used, that caused his throat to get fudged up and he had to take surgery and cannot scream again....sad....but i guess singing will be something different....like a metalcore nevermore...lol jk

I'm actually not really digging their new sound too much. I like all other Avenged Sevenfold from the demos to Waking the Fallen. However, I've only heard one song from their new album, so I can't really judge at this point.

Avenged Sevenfold started dressing like Good Charlotte. Oh well, I loved Waking the Fallen and STST. The tracks I've heard on the new album are amazing, and I'm going to pick up the album for sure.

The name is going to be City Of Evil.

I remember seeing people put up links to the mp3 downloads for COE...can somebody put them up again?

I had the mp3s, but they got deleted...

Ehh I am not to sure about their new sound. It sounds a little to poppy tbh.

I listen to very little metalcore /hardcore mind you, so don't go saying "Its because your hxc!!1!1!11"
