I'll list genres as bands are too numerous..

Rock, Metal, Indie, Alternative, Classical, Punk, Ska, Hardcore

Subgenres would also be too numerous.

psh, I can't be bothered to list them (or categorise them) all:

Queens of the Stone Age
Rage Against The Machine
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Muse
Coldplay
Bloc Party
Kaiser Chiefs
Franz Ferdinand
The Mars Volta
AFI
The Killers
Jimi Hendrix
Led Zeppelin
Johnny Cash <--- legend.

plus 'ska' bands - I like Goldfinger and Less Than Jake, but people have been talking about them in here, so they're proabably pop-punkier

I like Reel Big Fish though

Wow.
Quite a few of those bands you listed are good, IMO, but some of the others... I just can't stand 'em. I don't know what to make of you.

I listen to some emo, screamo, alternative, indie, jam bands, acoustic, and punk. I am way to lazy to list the bands.
