**Buying the next effect: Resource**

Hi

Buying the next bass
Bass Forum Classifieds

This is a resource for some of you who are interested in buying or customising an effects pedal. It contains links to threads, as well as useful websites. This is the second of three threads to cover buying gear, after “Buying the Next Bass”. Due to the search function being installed back, I decided to continue these threads.

One of the main problems of doing a general thread for this topic, is that each case is extremely individual. This is not intended to stop these threads, however, I recommend that bassists scan through the catorgories before posting a new thread.

I will begin by posting a link to a website that i have always gone to, in search of user reviews. This is a great resource, with endless reviews on amps, bass and effects
www.harmony-central.com

The following are threads of a similar topic, organised into various categories. During this thread I will sort threads into Brand and Purpose. Many effects pedals are of a similar price range

Many leading manufacturers will have a section where custom presets and sounds, etc can be submitted. For example Digitech and it’s sound community.

Yeh this is definatley really helpful. I haven't used any effects ever, I think it's about time I start using some. But one question. How much is a looping pedal? I know quatre has and uses one on his recordings. I could have a lot of fun with that. So, a little help please?

Call me stupid but what are some effects pedals you can use that aren't "Cheap". "Cheap" meaning u can make anything you play sound good...

What are some effects the real good bassists use? Ive got a cheap pedal called Zoom 506II. Its fun to mess around with but it almost takes away good craftmanship from anything I use it for because the effects sound so good.

I recomend anyone a standard bass wah.
