Equilibrist
Death chooses to deceive on lame legs And stands stark in stalking black On a tightrope over a rushing red river The ends tied to your pleading whims Your heart is held in quivering hands With a wry smile suggesting a hidden agenda A portrayal of what you've done He reflects the terror you've shown before All too well he knows What is there left to do When asking for forgiveness Is not an option? A cloaked mist bars no excuse for the blind He's worked you out that's for sure Ebony fingers stretch out over the current As your hand uncovers your mouth Words are like wind to hear your voice Useless to be assured And a waste of breath Repercussions of your actions Are like insurance for his own Taunting you without a spoken word Say what you will to please He has no ears to be subdued By your lapdog tongue of sycophancy Scrambling down past the wallowing bank Wading through the blackening river With one hand to keep your balance The other to reach out to catch A heart without its soul With a place nowhere to go A misjudgement to a drop in the water Your hands plunge in deep for redemption Its what you assume is precious As the illusion of refraction is elusively deceptive That is woven from the light way up high And denies you to capture To be left to wander while he waits on the edge Watching you fall face flat in the riverbed As judgement wakes from hibernation is delivered Last edited by RunAmokRampant; 03-08-2005 at 05:13 AM. |

Here's my beautiful entry, though when trying to sing it, I humiliated myself and fel;t great shame, as it only seems to fit into rap:
Terrorism Is terrorism you and me? Or in the name of liberty? Is terrorism fantasy? Or a way to fill up casualty? Is it fighting for what's right? Or is it darkness versus light? As global bullies take control, And steal a country's lunch money, Nothing to do but speak your mind, Climb a clock-tower and shoot the land, That'll show 'em the terrorists are all around, Does shouting "Freedom!" make me mad? A dirty commie from Leningrad, Does drilling oil fields make me rad? A rich old man tuxedo-clad, Does picking poppies make me bad? A poison-pusher lookin' after dad, You and I are terrorists, Who live in secure liberty, Terror is reality, In a world of medi-technology, What's right is sometimes wrong, The men of darkness' eyes are stung, |

TERROR, PH33R IT! :E
An entry? Most definitely. White Wine Now she's spread out on her bed, She's begging me to join her. "A few glasses of wine never hurt." It's the middle of the night. She tells me all her fears; What it's like to be lost in a big city, How it felt when her mother died, For someone you care about to leave. New York City sky line glows, I feel her press into me. As we take off our clothes, And slip into the heat, Nighttime terrors and painful memories, Fade out in her soft release. She fell asleep so peacefully. The sun came up and took my place. I had left before she could wake. The music we left playing faded out, A silence that filled the house. It was such a beautiful morning, And she woke up still undressed. Her cries, a tender love confessed, The ones that I'd never catch. Those notes that can only come, When a piano key's depressed. Last edited by A_Perfect_Sonnet; 03-06-2005 at 09:58 PM. |

First challenge. Kind of short but meh
![]() Cold Blooded Talker I watch this slide down your neck Back away as it reaches your chest Don't swallow your terror Allow a scream for my departure Do i instill so much fear? Wait, don't answer so convincingly There's a chance i can handle a lie But harsh truths make me question beauty Pale faced, blotched in icy red You're a cold blooded talker, my sweet Protests chill my every dream Do you welcome my goodbye kiss? Always release the final breath? For as i falter at the door You chance a prayer, i leave, you're blessed Then while you cleanse your tainted skin Dismiss the love left in the air I entertain the evening shadows With tales of terror, straight from your lips Pale faced, blotched in icy red You're a cold blooded talker, my sweet Protests chill my every dream Last edited by theredwonder; 03-03-2005 at 06:44 PM. "And Then There Was Dancing"
The fissure parted with lava-breath Transposed to History books, its part of an ongoing heresy And the world was devoured by the conflagration That consumed and carried on well past point B Now music fills the ears of the young And the rivers cascade liquor over rocks Each length the strength of a Rhinocerous charge He arrived with a bang that splintered the docks The land mines were merely fireworks Praising with flashes in shades of red That triggered the immediate gathering of palms To lay before the feet of the beast The fissure parted with lava-breath That sprinkled scars among his people Gently reminding them with each subtle move Your weak hearts are nothing to the terror of evil Last edited by CSD & the Soul Machines; 03-08-2005 at 12:24 PM. |

Guilty
Verse 1: Dead Bodies Staring slowly at the sky Making deals with the gods So they can live and I can die Screaming softly Been there since December Try to put away my terrors But I always will remember Chorus: I just can't help it I'm guilty as can be I can’t forget you You can’t forget me Just sitting in the middle No food water or sleep Your being so stupid, That nothing is what it seemed Verse 2: Killer, killer Shots all through the night Can’t walk into a bar And leave without a fight Guys sitting next to me They pissed me off as well My overwhelming anger killed them Now they rot in hell Chorus: I just can't help it I'm guilty as can be I trying to forget you Is there something wrong with me? I’m sitting in the middle Lacking of some sleep Since you still are living, I know I’m not redeemed Verse 3: Dead Bodies Staring slowly at the sky Making deals with the gods So they can live and I can die Screaming softly Seems like it’s forever Their hopeless screams surrounding me I always will remember Last edited by Fatt Sorum; 02-28-2005 at 10:10 PM. |

"Commitment Is A Four-Letter Word"
Wake up, your laboured breathing has kept me awake for what feels like days, and these frightened eyes aren't fooling anyone. not such frightened eyes. Slow down, your white-knuckle dreaming weighs heavier on me than I think you know. and this terrified silence won't hold forever. oh, what terrified silence. This microcosm of your hopes and dreams bathed in a tired streetlamp's glow. If only trust could be rebuilt as quickly as teenage hearts from their summer romances. Let's see out these last few hours in the pale reflections of everything we've learned today and lost tomorrow. But we've learned today. This microcosm of your hopes and dreams bathed in a tired streetlamp's glow. If only trust could be rebuilt as quickly as teenage hearts from their summer romances. But we've learned today, oh, how much we learned. |

Feels a gothic tune coming up
Queen of sorrow Scarlet eyes in the darkness tormenting terror. piercing pain No birds. Only the silence you're lost forever in her realm She sweeps down with terrifying beauty Her skin fairer than the snow As all your fear seems to go She masks her fearsome cruelty But when she embraces, Your heart turns to stone You're lost forever, You're all alone Sweet words are a medicine, For all the pain from the journey She offers a place to rest a place to take off your byrnie Her white court is perfect sun shining on a a willow As long as you don't expect To dwell here with sorrow But when she embraces, Your heart turns to stone You're lost forever, You're all alone Last edited by Necroses-bass; 03-08-2005 at 12:28 PM. |

Reversing, on live channels. make me a saint,
A little make-up never hurt a master of disguise, In theory, my terror unexplained, So cover hands with gloves, those made of lies... CHORUS World politics, the honor of one's land, When bombs fly over children, fast, World politics, Soldiers facing saints, My words, soon bullets, penetrating hearts Save me time, and clothe your eyes, Manage free speech, TV is mine, Opiate for the world, just bit of lies, Fake smiles, dull bright eyes. Turned your back to the transformation, Lived, through death of the new generation, Tell stories to children when society's gone loon, Once atomic bomb peaked human nation CHORUS World politics, the honor of one's land, When bombs fly over children, fast, World politics, Soldiers facing saints, My words, soon bullets, penetrating hearts Reversing, on live channels. make me a saint, A little make-up never hurt a master of disguise, In theory, my terror unexplained, So cover hands with gloves, those made of lies... this is d0ped0g btw
i might change this song... i might not. -------------------- ANTEMATH ANTHEM -------------------- As we stand in reform and regret Above the zero-hour prophecies we forget Did the world end tomorrow, despite the lack of proof Of the frontline of fate that surely stilts the truth And as we lay in demise and despair Below the zero-hour epipanies we long to share Lost in the consequence of future disdain As flasks of frozen tears bottle the pain If there's something we should learn from this Is to conceal each moment with a kiss How else will we know wether we're alive or dead Trust your heart, and not your head Lets rip out our eyesockets Lets all run blind Then you'll see whats coming As whats coming's left behind Lets all block our ears To these shrieking sighs. This cacophany of whispers Speaks conspiricies of lies. If there's something we should learn from this Is to conceal each moment with a kiss How else will we know wether we're alive or dead Trust your heart, and not your head Who binds this bible? Within the terror of a trance... Who predicts this prefacy? Booked years in advance... Last edited by Captain Pugwash; 03-03-2005 at 12:35 AM. |

Silently,Hauntingly
The glow has passed in this ghost a presence taken for more than a glance as i struggle to bring reason to your absence you've swayed all meaning for memory even if you're without reason silence will always depress your being to me Her style progresses down every quarter of this grave in my mind the echoes mix with the sky while she dies in the same fashion as everyone else in my mind there is something more to you replacing me Everything passed is silenced wasted in the times I disregard fault is my vice to this darkness between that is the terror you left behind where you let me be apart of your miracle a depth so easily fallen into A midnight ritual repeated a thousand times hauntingly blind... still not enough for you to remember Etch another reminder on the arm one last time against all the walls you created for me your death has closed me in despite all my chances Let me remember our nights one last time decide to start your memory from the beginning 3 years faded, please be around to let me be blamed for something Last edited by k.s.e.; 03-03-2005 at 04:09 AM. |

THE SEEKING PLACE
There is nothing more here for you (You know this to be true) Than to just breathe And sink Sink Sink in the quicksand of respiration. Someday you will wake And even the air will make sense, And the water will flow right through you. If you would wait long enough Maybe climb high enough, It just has to make sense. I see your secret in the signature. Then will you remember words and Sounds until they are shapes And echo through a vast corridor. You are only free when you.. You are only free if you.. Someday you will wake And even the air will make sense, And the water will flow right through you. The exact spot where the land ends And the sea begins is the only thing Richer than you. Hold on if you need to, But blindly, gently. The danger is past. The terror is due. |

Time out of Mind
Slipping back to consciousness The terror grips my skin The night is pitching violently Coerced by shrieking winds Replay clouds my vision Days roll by so fast Why must my nous desert me I’m lashed helpless to the past Lamenting when…first I had The strength in my own hands To fill the roll so eagerly And forge disparaged plans Now my seas turned heavy And I just…I just don’t understand How could my muse desert me When I need…I need a guiding hand Call out for direction But there’s no one there to hear Beg for vindication From the theater of absurd Taste the spray of Lethe as The maelstrom draws near Cry out supplication but No one’s there to hear Last edited by 6945; 03-04-2005 at 04:50 PM. |

Shadows
Shadows in the dark, stirring round
Your fears are overblown by the terrors of the night, The terrors of your mind Monsters in your conscious Coming through your thoughts Shadows imitating your deep doubts Shadows of night, running Terrors of darkness, stirring Doubt and worry from within Coming out in the dim Laying in the bed Yearning for the safety of sleep Mind know there is nothing to fear Except itself is transposed in the darkness from within From the bowels of your inner thoughts From the nightmares of your head |
