So yeah ... my lunch table at school decided to start an indoor soccer team. There are 13 of us total, and about 3 have soccer experience. We are the Wombats, and our first game is tomorrow. Wish me luck

The wombats is such a typical american football team name.
You're supposed to name your football team after the area you're all mainly based in or where you train.
Example: I used to play for a football team called 'Beechwood', because we trained in a place called beechwood.

We have never 'trained,' we didn't even practice before the season started, and we aren't going to either.

We are from the town of Haslett, so we are the Haslett Wombats.

Since you're from a country who are relative new comers to the international sport of football, look to other countries for inspiration.

England for its passion
Spain for its flair and technical ability
Italy for its great defending and tactics
and Germany for their ability to cheat and completely piss everyone else off!
