The Los Angeles Kobes-oops I mean Lakers.

So, yesterday's win against the Hornets came easily, and the Lakers improved to 3-2, and I'll note that all 3 wins came from shitty-ass teams (Denver, Atlanta, New Orleans). Any thoughts as to how Kobe's bitches will fare out through this season?

Kobe will be great this year statistically.
But there will be no lakers in finals because kobe does need shaq if he wants to get that far, whether he accepts it or not. I'm saying this because the lakers have no really good big man and we all know the west is the conference of bigmen and the east is the quickness

Actually, they have 4 good big men: Slava Medvedenko, Brian Grant, Vlade Divac, and Chris Mihm (who's been surprising the past five games).

slava hasnt proven anything
brian grant is downhill now
vlade can only pass and is slow
mihm won't keep up with how well he's been doing

compare them with duncan, dirk, dampier KG, webber, brad miller, ratliff, randolph, camby, kmart, gasol...lakers have no size

I agree with the above statement...Chris Mihm is only putting up numbers because no other big man on the Lakers roster can't get half a shot off. Lamar Odom is a combo forward...but he's best at the three.

This is the year wether Kobe is a true great team player who wins games...or a Ricky Davis-type statistical freak. Personally...I think Kobe is not better than either Paul Pierce or Tracy McGrady. If one of them was a Laker instead of Kobe the past 5 years...they still would've won those title...perhaps more than three.

I think kobe will get his stats, but the lakers are going NOWHERE. They might not even make the playoffs because there are too many good teams, excuse me TEAMS!!!! out in the west.

After that hornets game, Grizzlies mandhandled lakers, and Orlando came back from behind beat them. any other thoughts?

Kobe's just way in over his head. Maybe in a few years this team will evolve into something great, but I don't see it happening for the time being.
