Strangest Chord Progression?
I'll be asking this on the guitar forum as well. . .
What's the weirdest/most unsettling/freakiest/most evil/most hypnotic/etc. chord progression you've ever found? What song is it from? Who composed it? I'm just asking around. I bore the hell out of myself with just 3 chords (I, IV, and V. . . anyway.) and I want to scare passer-bys in my dorm hall. |

Try some
I - V - vi - IV (One of my personal favorites) ii - V - I (You sound recognize this) vi - V - IV - iii (Works better in minor key as i - VII - VI - v) vii* - vi - vii* - I (Nice tension that is resolved with the tonic) I - iii (An often out of place, often unexpected progession to through into the mix) |
