Earthbound

Great game. Best RPG for the Super Nintendo I've ever played, based on characters and atmosphere alone. Who else thinks this game deserves more recognition?

NOOOOOO why didn't I think of making this thread.

This was the best RPG ever (that I played, and I didn't play chrono trigger, so that one could be better I suppose), on all aspects. The music was great too and I generally loved it.

I can't believe it's so unknown.

I disagree, I thought Earthbound was a lot more light hearted and fun to play, while still retaining a deeply involving storyline. It was also a hell of a lot funnier and weirder than Chrono Trigger.

Exactly. Earthbound's charm is why it's so cool. I just don't have a heart for the most serious video games; that's why I stick with GTA and Tony Hawk for the most part. Or maybe it's the music.

i think earthbound is the 3rd best snes rpg, following ff3 and chrono trigger. although i did notice recently while playing how brutal it could be

Pogoman falls over
Ness swings his baseball bat.
SSSSSSMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

that's just sheer brutality right there
