I honestly think Halo 2 will win. I have played it, and I believe it's all it's cracked up to be.

i voted halo 2, but i agree with e p, it really depends on platform...
xbox, halo2 pc i would say half life 2 ps2 GTA SA |

Ya i see your point about the platforms seperatly but overall, i meant what do you think will be better than all the other games regardless what consoles. by the way i chose HL 2, just because i feel its sorta of a breakthrough for games with the new realism. ex, using certain objects to help you: pushing a desk against the door to stop the marines from coming in. Really the AI looks insane in that game and i think the new games are just going to get better and better..

Its hard to say, but ill vote HL 2. I havnt played any of these games yet, but I do prefer half life over halo, even though they are both excellant games, I just really dont feel like anything will really be able to touch half life 2. should doom 3 be on the list? Ive played the demo and was very impressed despite my crappy graphics card. But my vote still goes to hl2

I'm surprised that so many people are voting for Grand Theft Auto: SA with such hot competition like Halo 2 and ESPECIALLY Half Life 2, the high-end sequel to the acclaimed "Greatest Game of All Time"

I wanted to vote "don't know" because many of those games haven't even come out. I voted HL2 just because I preordered it... and I hope its good.

How are "games of the year" nominated?
I mean HL2 and GTA will obviously make more sales than WoW but WoW will definately redefine a lot of MMORPG standards. (lots of acronyms  ) |

This is just our opinion, because the real ones come from the magazines, which are for a certain platform. For example PC magazine will have a game of the year, Xbox will have a game of the year and so does PS2. I think we all know what game is GOTY for Xbox and Ps2.

There's a ton of good ones to chose from but Everquest 2... you just can't beat it.

I don't particularly like off-line shooters, or halo at all. I don't want to start on Counterstrike either. MGS3.
