MMORPGs-Good stuff coming!

Anyone play these? Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games..
This site is great to keep tabs on the genre: http://www.mmorpg.com/index.cfm

I'm looking forward mostly to Everquest 2. For the adventurous socializing types.. No player versus player at release.. But a huge world to adventure in, simple leveling, long hours of grinding.. Still should be fun! Here's a link: http://everquest2.station.sony.com/

Also coming are World of Warcraft, which is going to be based on the Warcraft world, and is trying to use player versus player combat as it's selling point. Link here: http://www.blizzard.com/wow/

However, if player versus player combat is more your liking, I suggest GuildWars. No montly fee like the others, but slamming real time FPS style combat. It's twitch based, but your skills are based on experience. Not much grinding. I'm in the beta and its great! Link here: http://www.guildwars.com/

Anyone looking forward to any

I played the Guild warz beta and it sucked. Graphix sucked but i guess the game play was ok. WoW looks ok but they are all the same IMO, i preferd just regular RPGs cause the MMO are so repetitive, all you do it level up and do quests. Morrowind 4 will be the breakthough RPG.

Has anyone played the World of Warcraft Beta? I'm not planning on getting it but it seems like a interesting game.

You thought Guildwars sucked? Why? What did you think it was missing?

The sole premise is player versus player mind you. It's not meant to be deep.

I thought the game was gorgeous though!

All my friends love it. I don't. They're all in beta. It's an open beta now if you want you can jump in I think.

If it wasn't for the year I wasted in SWG, I would have played it. I thought it was great when it came out, but I quickly lost interest, simpy because of Star Wars Galaxies. It's awesome though.

Not open yet, stress final beta, and yea i didnt like guild warz cause for some reason graphics looked like blocks on my comp and i have a nice graphics card and iv played many games with good graphics. Guild wars was ok. I had a warlock/healer or seomthign and i guess i started at level 15. beta? and the spells were very weak. i mean the animations were horrible for all the spells i had. Shot some flare out that looked like a red line. I guess if u really like it, buy it, whatever floats ur boat.

Ahh.. I was Warrior/Monk. I am not much for spellcasters. The Monks heal spells looked awesome though. I also had some friends over playing on other machines in my house and to be honest, the spells looked pretty wild. Not tryin to sell ya on it, cuz if you didn't like it thats cool, but maybe some settings were off on your vid card? I think they might sacrifice some of the higher end graphics for gameplay, and to reduce lag when hundreds are on screen fighting.

For that open beta everyone started at Lvl15. We immediately set up a guild and basically kicked the crap out of each other, which was a lot more fun than the lame stuff they had us fighting in the beta. No lag either which is a good sign!

Ya if i had some buds who played it, it could of been better but i just went along with the mission or something and went to some fort. I just feel its not a real MMO because its not payed monthly. I hate the monthly pay but if u cant pay it, prolly means your too young to even be playing it. I payed too many months of MMo so im waiting for the best one to come out and then spend my money monthly and wisely.

im not looking at playing any MMORPG's other than FFXI.

Played Everquest for like 3 years (never got a character past lvl 49 lol) but sucked my life out from under me, was good times though. Everquest 2 looks amazing, but don't think i would want to spend the money on playing.

unless someone wants to pay for me?

huh?

no-one?

doh

EQ2 is bad from what I hear. 3 years of EQ here too, and I'm sick of Sony. They fucking ruined that game!

No, WoW is what I'll put my money on. That, or Vanguard if that project materializes.
