Need Some Advice

Ok, I've been thinking about starting a band for a while but I'm pretty selfish and can't really see anyone writing the music but me. I know it sounds bad. Most of the time though when I sit down at my keyboard I find myself not only writing parts for the keyboard but also for other instruments because I always hear the whole song in my head, not just the keyboard. So, I'm thinking of just getting a workstation as I hear you can do quite a bit with them. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I'd really appreciate your opinions.

Before you invest a lot of money in a workstation, you should probably download Tabit or Guitar Pro or something MIDI Notation Software and try your hand at songwriting and arranging.... and enter the Composition Challanges in the Pit

guitar pro is very good for all types of songwriting. it is good to use wen u have a song in mind that you want to write out but its also good if you have jus a basic riff which you need to put chords etc to. i find it extremely useful although i keep reminding myself not to depend on it too much.
