hey guys. new stuff

Hey, we just did some recording, and I'm just trying to get some feedback. Tell me what you think. We did these recordings ourselves so quality isn't spectacular, but it works.

SSDD - The first impressions were.... "Too much happening vocally" and "The guitar sound lets the song down"

Vocally when the song gets heavier, it sounds too busy and confusing. I didnt know where to follow the song vocally. it was like a rollercoaster ride. It was much better in the quiet parts where vocally it was a little more subdued.

The guitar sound just sounds like it needs less distortion, and more mid range chunk. Would beef the sound up and make it really kick in.

Overall I didnt mind the song and think with some arrangement and work it would be even better.

------------------------------

Snowballs - My first impression was "What the F*** ???"

Whats with the speaking bits? I know it can add a bizarre feeling and arrangement to a song, but this just sounds dicky.... it made me cringe hearing it.

When the rest of the song kicked in, it sounded better. Guitar tone again I think is a weak link. Very distorted with little crunch.

This song didnt do it for me..... sorry. I liked the first one better.

Don't mean to sound harsh, just my impressions.

I listened to SSDD.

The song was good. (different, but good)
The playing was good.
The singing was good, even liked the harmonies you put in there.
However....
The vocals didn't seem to fit the song well.
I'd suggest trashing the old line and singing something different.
Hard to explain, but I'm hearing a better melody in there somewhere.
you know?

Good job on everything else though, good recording, too!
