[experimental/electronica] reptar! - extrack stars/the ones who formerly ran
reptar! is my two person electronica/experimental project with my best friend. we both play synth and various other instruments that need to be played... and yes, we both do vocals as well. we just did a rough cut of a track for our demo, and would like some feedback.
here is the song: http://s92324468.onlinehome.us/extrackstars.mp3 for more info: http://www.reptar.org Last edited by the thomas; 10-15-2004 at 09:14 PM. |

The vocals aren't prominent enough.
I can't really say much about this type of music because I don't listen to any of it myself, sounds pretty cool though. The vocals remind me of Placebo. The crash cymbal sounding distorted isn't that great in my opinion, I don't know if that's intentional or if it's just clipping. It's kinda repetitive too, but this type music is usually isn't it? It's cool though, I love some of the tracks. When it completely changes caught me by surprise ![]() |

thanks for the input.
a few people have told me to turn the vocals up in the mix, and when i'm at my friends house who has all the original files i probably will. i'm not sure which crash cymbal you're talking about that's distorted? could you give me a time in the song? yeah, the random change in the song is actually a demo from a little toy keyboard... you gotta love greensleeves. but thank you very much for the input. |
