This is how.
Hookup a mic to your mic input on the back of your com. Record. Go to Cnet.com, get the WAV. ~ MP3 converter (trial/free version) here is the link: http://www.smartwavconverter.com/?id=ggswc After conversion, go to Soundclick, create your band page, download your songs...and you're done! Until you get a nice aftermarket soundcard, your recordings are gonna sound sub-par, but that's the way the computer chip crumbles! Aftermarket soundcard........................$69 Nice mic...........................................$50 Multi-effects unit...............................$150 Getting a good recording......................priceless! |

Nah, you need a mic of some sort to get the sound recorded, as far as I know anyway.

if your looking for free then dont use windows sound recorder. use this www.hitsquad.com/smm/programs/GoldWave/download.shtml
if you are recording an acoustic guitar then make sure to position the mic at the 12th fret of the guitar. (cheap mic + goldwave = PWNT) |

If you plug straight in to the computer for an amazingly better quality sound than the microphone to the amp or guitar or whatever you need an adapter, though I dont actually know what its called. I have one. I also have one that has to inputs into the one mic slot (its called a Y something) and so I can have a mic and guitar simultaneously.
