Equalizer Settings for Metal
I just got a CD burner, and the burning program (Nero) allows you to use an equalizer to tweak the songs before you burn them. Now the equalizer has 20 sliders, ranging from 22 to 16000 hz. Does anyone here know the best setting for Metal?
Thanks |

In all honesty, with Nero, I wouldn't use that feature at all. Some high-end CD burner software packages are great with that feature if you're an audiophile, but Nero's is pretty bad.

I could leave it flat and use the equalizer on my stereo, problem is, my stereo only has presets (no custom eq settings). I may just do that though. I'm far from being an audiophile.
EDIT: Dimebag: presets suck. They're mainstream. ![]() |

Yes, presets do usually suck (not b/c they're mainstream, but they just often sound bad.) That being said, they do provide a place to start. Try throwing it on a rock preset and tweaking that. |

Actually, Nero doesn't have that kind of preset. All they have is "Bass Lift" and "Treble Cut" and so forth. Oh well, I'll figure it out.

Depends... some band use different settings.. just go with flat, so you hear exactly how they sound.
