Bohemian Rhapsody Cover (Intro and first two verses)

Here's something I recorded as a project in my vocal lessons. I have to thank my teacher Pete Palazzolo for recording it. He also played all the instrumentation & figured out the vocal harmonies for me to sing.

Reminds me of the Bruce Dickenson opera version of the song.

I wish I could sing like that.

Even though you'd admit "You're no Freddie Mercury", You did a fine job!

Give the teacher a pat on the back, too!
Great Job!

Thanks for the comments everyone!

"You have a nice voice but to be blunt you ruined a classic.

Sorry"

Yeah lol, I know it doesn't compare to the original. Man, but after recording this I have an even greater respect for Queen or any band who recorded complex stuff like this during that era where there was no digital editing, just splicing tape....must have taken forever....unless they were just such good musicians that they nailed thier parts with minimal/or no retakes.

This was just something though for basically a learning experience for me. To learn mostly about how so many harmonies can work together and to try and devolop some new techniques with my voice.

Meh...i have to agree with place...you are very talented, but not Freddie...and to be honest...the instruments needed to be turned up a little to balance better, though they weren't the same as in the original. Wow...this sounds so mean lol, good job, just not Queen quality heh...

I like the way you ended with a repitation of "carry on, carry on. As if nothing even matters." If you had followed the song 100% it would have sounded really awkward without the guitar cutting in

Yeah, I agree the instruments are a little low in the mix. We didn't really spend too much time at all on mixing, most of the time was spent working on figuring out and recording those vocal harmonies.

Thanks, luckily my teacher thought of doing that since I wasn't too sure how we were going to end it otherwise.

Not bad. Not the best voice I've ever heard tonally, but you have a good grasp of harmonies.
