So Leicester are gonna win the Champions League.

Also I don't like how good City look under Pep, they tore us apart for 40 minutes the other day and coasted to victory in the CL.

It appears ManU fans should be more concerned about their own team atm.

I don't think it's a difficult problem to solve. Same back 5 as today, play Herrera and Blind in front (Herrera plays box to box and Blind is holding but can create ala young Carrick), play a 3 of Rashford, Pogba (in his proper role for a change would help) and either Mata or Mkhitaryan behind Ibrahimovic.

No room for Rooney, slows the game down, loses the ball far too often. No place for Fellaini, he disrupts well but offers very little when creating chances and going forward.

We'd be quicker and create more, you don't need a hard man in midfield these days, the smaller, skillful players are the ones causing the problems.

However I can see what'll happen, some players will get blamed and dropped for the next game, Rooney will remain untouchable regardless of what he does - and all I can do is vent here because I'll never be able to pick our starting XI or tactics... might buy FM17 and zone out for a few hours.

Rooney is definitely a big problem. But the midfield is just awful.

Pogba was never the best midfielder at Juve, he was always surrounded with real quality. Replace Pirlo, Marchisio, Vidal, Khedira, and even Pereyra (who played today) with people like Fellaini and Rooney and there's a clear issue. Other options Herrara (plays too far forward), Schneiderlin (woeful form), Carrick (a million years old), and Blind (pretty average) and you can't form a decent midfield.

Pogba was bought for his potential. He's an amazing player who can become one of the world's best. But he just can't run a midfield. He can dominate one with his attributes, but he's not a playmaker.

Ideally, he'd be played like Lampard was at Chelsea during Mourinho's first stint. Makelele to sit, Essien to do the grunt work. If United had bought Gundogan and Kante (to pick two players that moved this summer), they'd have one of the best midfields in the world. But they have Rooney and Fellaini instead. Squeezing Rooney into the XI just means you can't bring out the best in Pogba.

Add in the fact that half of United's front six can't run means you've got no pace.

Saying all this, fully expecting Arsenal to lose every match with united 2-0 this season.

United still playing like David Moyes' Everton, tbf.

Rooney needs to lose about 10 kgs as well.

Well played to Arsenal.

Also, a lot of talk abou Guardiola's influence on Sterling, and rightly so, but Lallana has veen excellent this season. I don't know what Klopp did, but great job there.

Fuck sake Big Sam.

Honestly thought he could get more out of the players than Roy could but he goes and fucks it up.
