not just liverpool

specifically gerrard

i'd be worried about coming across as so anti-gerrard if it wasn't so utterly true

i sort of feel sorry for rodgers as he is clearly an idiot, it's not his fault someone was stupid enough to put him in charge of liverpool

deserves everything he gets for what he said about Southampton at start of the season though

right lads, so i had a 10 punt on newcastle to go down a few weeks back when they were 75/1

i think this might happen

they are dreadful

at this point, my football supporting life is focused around hoping they fail

i was baffled when watford were the first team up. looked away for a couple of weeks and they really crept up on it. the whole udinese/pozzo thing is pretty interesting though.

Geez, it's a bit quiet up in here.

Madrid were so poor today. I feel pretty sad for Bale; he's gonna get hammered tomorrow. Ramos was dreadful too.

I would love for Juve to get to the final though.

Bale needs space in front of him, being in a dominant team doesn't suit him so much. His best performances for Real (Barca cup final, CL final) are when teams attack or are tired. Without space to run into he's so limited. It's a weird thing where he'll play better against the best teams rather than pummelling lower table teams.

Ramos in midfield was just a disaster.

Yeah, Bale really does look a sorry sight. He's got no confidence, after being hammered all season. Really sad to see.

And yes, Ramos was just woeful. I never thought a professional player at that level would struggle to make simple passes. Does Ancelotti not rate Illarramendi or Silva? Obviously not.

Tonight's game will be pretty interesting though. Bayern will face a seriously challenge trying to contain that Barca front three. It'll be interesting to see how Pep lines his team up.

The thing about Ramos is that he can pass, he was just terrible under pressure. When he's playing ten feet back or whatever, then no one is closing him down nearly as much. Or when he played fullback, they just showed him down a wing.

Everywhere he looked in midfield he was under pressure and just knocked it out of play. If a team's been set up to press in midfield (like Juve), then they're going to tear him to pieces.

True, although you would expect some degree of composure.
To be honest, a lot of the players were poor. Casillas still confuses me. He's been extremely poor for a while now. I honestly don't know what happened to him.

He just dropped Boateng on his arse and lobbed the worlds best keeper with his weaker foot...

Ridiculous.
