Thing is PQ that silly money you were talking about could be a piece of piss to throw around if the club wasn't siddled with the glazers debt. Their long term goal is very simple for United, make the club itself - not them, pay for the takeover. Then once the debts have been serviced sell it on for a profit. Mike Ashley's plan for Newcastle but just on a grander scale.

The loan's being paid off comfortably, once gone the Glazers will be free to take in more money for themselves, as long as United increase their profits, it will always be profitable for the Glazers to stay, and for United to increase profits we'll need to continue success which they are smart enough to realise will require investment. Our sponsor deals are ridiculous at the moment and it's down to them, once the debts gone it'll be even better, and yeah it blows they've only managed to buy the club by paying their debt off using the club, but we'll be in a stronger financial position than before once the debt is gone.

Also Balotelli to Liverpool for 16m? Bargain or risk? One nutter out, one nutter in.

And di Maria said he wants out of Madrid, while PSG have backed out, does this mean he's Old Trafford bound or will it rekindle PSG interest?

Know what graphic isn't meaningless?

God, we're so lucky to see two players of ridiculous quality at the same time.

No offense mate but I think you're deluded if you think the glazers are in this for the long haul. Once the debt is cleared or a significant portion, the club will be sold for probably twice than what they paid.

As someone who's job is in the financial sector I admire what the glazers have done in a business sense. However the grass roots loving football fan who's coached kids part time and played sunday league for 10 year is knocked fucking sick what these pricks have done. And its bizarre that any united fan can be happy with it.

As for Ballotelli, he's a superb striker on his day. I really rate Rodgers as a man manager (look at the effect he's had on Coutinho, Sterling, Henderson and Sturridge). So he may be able to get the best out of him.

It's a great price at 16m too

i just go back to the comment my mate made when he went to see chelsea v city a few years ago. mancini spent 90% of his shouting at balotelli and getting other players to keep his attention on the game. the guy has chronic adhd and appears to have little or no cbt. and even then most of his attitude is learned behavior to protect himself so his reactions are instinctive, just like his football. there is no denying hes a brilliant footballer, and totally natural. but he is also a disaster waiting to happen.

still surprised that this happened. maybe if he drops playing for italy for a season he may benefit. travelling for international duty would impact any resources and support that liverpool will provide

well compare the goals, and you'll see half of messi's were just pushing the ball to the net in a near off side zone.
Not to mention that graphic forgets all of Ronaldo's man u goals.
assists in tiki taka system are just passes around the area, they don't mean much.

We get RVP and Valencia back and lose Herrera. I don't care who the manager is, this is ridiculously unlucky, it's looking like we'll have to line up with:

de Gea
Valencia, Smalling, Blackett, Young
Fletcher, Jones
Januzaj Mata Kagawa
RVP, Rooney

Need to score 3 to win tomorrow...

Cant be arsed to pull out a compilation of all the worldie's messi's banged in over the years

What I mean by all this is that you know nothing about football.

Messi vs Getafe is one of my favourite goals of all time, and he was like 19 when he scored it.

Remember that one, fantastic.

If the argument is that he's probably already approaching burn out and has been nowhere near his best the past 18 months I'm in total agreement.

Anyone genuinely thinks he's not one of the greatest footballers to have ever lived is crazy or stupid or both.

Agreed, but still 41 goals in 46 games approaching burn out? It's still ridiculously better than any other forward bar Ronaldo in their prime.
